The Bigger Empty
The Bigger Empty is a four-piece rock band from Chicago,IL. Its members include: Mike Felumlee (ex Alkaline Trio, Smoking Popes) on guitar/vocals, and Jim Steinkraus, Reuben Baird, and Kevin Baschen from the Chicago band Sketch Middle. This foursome has been playing together for several years as Mike’s solo act. During rehearsals for their upcoming album, the guys discovered they were sounding more like a band than a solo project, and so The Bigger Empty was born.
With a shared passion for straightforward, hard hitting pop-rock, The Bigger Empty are diving into the recording of their debut full-length album. The album is currently being tracked at Reuben’s studio Chicago Sound Lab with Reuben manning the console. The guys are very excited to share their musical vision with the world. Rock music just as it should be: pure, simple, and catchy. No skinny jeans, loafers, or neon shirts required.
Bohemian Grove began in York, UK, in late 2013 when the six members of the band, each experienced from consistently playing in various other groups, decided to realize their plans to start a new project.
Their first EP was already practically written and within a few weeks Spencer, who had previously been the vocalist for UK metalcore band 'With One Last Breath', recorded vocals for four tracks and 'Eternal Ruin' was released to a hugely positive reception.
Bohemian Grove went on to amass a dedicated following;regularly playings venues across the north of England and the rest of the UK before quickly starting work on their follow up release to 'Eternal Ruin'. In September 2014 the band put out their second EP, 'Silence of Decay', which explored the boundaries of the genre even more and refined the band's crushing sound.
Since then then band went on to generate a reputation for intense live performances and play countless shows across the country with some of the biggest up-and-coming names in the UK metal scene.
2016 has seen Bohemian Grove sign to DuckPhone Records and Scarim Management under the guidance of the hugely talented Gino Scarim. They have just returned from a UK tour with Silent Screams (Artery Recordings), released a music video for their latest single, ‘Demons’ and are now busy in the studio putting together their next release.
Bohemian Grove’s debut full-length record ‘Hollow’ will be released through DuckPhone records later this year.
As graduated alumni from the tasty menagerie of bands that the Chicago metal scene produced, Deadships has inherited the proverbial torch – the deep understanding of metal music that only a devoted community can effectively nurture. Every show is instilled with a courageous amount of life force. Professionalism and dedication may as well be the bands middle and maiden names.
They’ve devoted a Herculean amount of labor and awed many a crowd. Their travels are commendable; their sacrifices, immeasurable. And, between you and me, with the pace they’ve set their music is going to be heard from whichever horizon that endless road takes them for a long, long time.
It is a bitter, bleak darkness, slithering its way into your ears, winding its way into your head and infecting your mind—spreading disease, distrust and destruction with every syllable spoken. Described as dissonant, dismal and dome-splittingly heavy, it is the music of Falsifier—lords of lurid aggression hailing from London, Ontario. Far from a lie, Falsifier are the whirlwind of misanthropic, mutilating honest anger that down-tempo deathcore has been lacking, blending low, slow instrumental elements with catchy riffs and throat-shredding vocals, these Canadian crushers bring honest energy to a dull, stagnant and repetitive scene in dire need of a renovation.
Beginning in 2013 and taking 2014 by storm with their debut self-titled EP, Falsifier hit the ground running, sticking to a rigorous schedule of live shows and relentless practice, refining their DIY take on deathcore into something prominent and potent. By the time 2014’s otherwise lack-luster summer would draw to a close, Falsifier would be ready to drench fans of heavy music in darkness once more, with a release of their sophomore EP under the honest and accurate title 'Life In Death'.

Throw the Fight is back. The band released its new album ‘Transmissions’ via Bullet Tooth on April 8, 2016 produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Texas In July, Everclear). Transmissions is the follow-up to ‘What Doesn’t Kill Us’ produced by John Feldmann & Brandon Paddock (Atreyu, The Used) which impressively sold 10,000 copies worldwide since its release and landed on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
Selling over 25,000 combined albums and over 50,000 digital singles, Throw the Fight plans to soar past previous accomplishments and shatter expectations with Transmissions. Put simply, Throw the Fight's time is now and the band is beyond ready. "We wanted to return when we had that fire going again. We demoed over 25 songs for this record in four months," said guitarist Ryan Baustert, "It ended up being the largest body of material we’ve ever had to work with for an album. This is by far the heaviest, most exciting group of Throw the Fight songs we’ve done. This is it. This is the best of the best."
That's not bravado. It's simply the truth. Throw the Fight have outdone themselves with Transmissions; the melodies are as vibrant and as memorable as ever, while the riffs resonate like volts of electricity surging through the listener's body.
Since arriving on the scene Minneapolis based Throw the Fight have embarked on plenty of national touring supporting Bullet For My Valentine and Black Veil Brides on the 2013 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. Traversing major markets for six weeks in the U.S. and Canada it was truly the band’s introduction to rock fans on a major stage. The band has also honed its live chops by logging dates with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Sevendust, Chevelle, Staind, Buckcherry, and more. They also secured slots on festivals such as The Vans Warped Tour & Taste of Chaos. On the stage the band truly comes to life putting countless miles on the road they plan to win over new fans in a grassroots, tried and true way: one city, one gig, and one venue at a time.
In addition to steadily growing sales and an impressive and busy tour history, the band has also enjoyed success at radio. The singles "Not So Hollywood" and "One Step Away” from What Doesn’t Kill Us garnered significant airplay and spins on Music Choice and Sirius XM Octane, as well as rock stations across the country. Top-tier stations such as Hard Drive Radio, BBC Radio 1, KXXR, WHMH, KZRV, KZIO, KQYK, KMSU, KMSK, KYTC, KLYD, KGRR, KGAR, WXCI, WJRR, WXRX, WEOS, CILU, WWHG, WIIL, WZOR, WCPR, and KDAM supported the band and the release with airplay.
